I just tried again with a different card, and my 1-year subscription was successful... I was correct about my financial institution's monitoring and attempted control over my expenditures, because no sooner did my subscription purchase go through with the other card that I was forced to jump through their "Fraud Alert" scenario... An interesting interview, but humanity will never truly improve this fallen world. We live under the shadow of death - our own and those of the people we love. We never know when. There is sorrow and sickness, disease and pain, betrayal and unfaithfulness. There is sin and evil, wickedness and rebellion against God’s standard. People call good, evil and they call evil, good. There is toil and anguish, disappointment and sadness. There is danger and there are injuries. Some people’s bodies are mutilated beyond repair. There are genetic disorders and difficult situations everywhere we turn.
One day, our lives will end. There is no happy ending to this life. There is no good time to die. There is no way out of the hardship except death and that is not a good ending.
Thankfully, humanity does not have to solve this problem we can not solve. God has a solution of a righteous kingdom He will set up here on earth where the Messiah will reign forever and ever from Jerusalem. There will be peace and justice, truth and true liberty, righteousness and integrity, honor and honesty. No more pain or sorrow or sadness. No more rejection or stealing or lying or deceit or abuse.
It’s true there is something good coming, but it won’t be brought about by humans. Humans have had 6000 years to figure it out, and it is not getting better here. We need a solution outside ourselves.
