I appreciated what was said about Israel for the most part. It is definitely a tangled situation. I was outspoken against Israel’s covid policies, but I am pro-Israel because God is pro-Israel.
With what I see happening out in the world, I no longer wonder how the Holocaust could have happened.
How SHOULD a family or a country respond to violence or terrorism? If someone entered a house and started shooting, should the parents just offer him some tea and cookies or should they do what they could to defend and protect their children and each other?
It’s very interesting to me how quick people are to attack and malign Israel before getting all the information. People also hold Israel to a much higher standard than any other country in the world.
There are awful things going on around the world - violence, murder, etc. - often perpetrated by followers of Islam - villages being attacked, people being killed, young girls taken and abused… - but the focus is all on Gaza. Do people even know that Hezbollah has been sending rockets and drones nearly daily into Israel? Do people even know that tens of thousands of Israelis are internally displaced due to the continual bombardments? Do people realize that Israel is surrounded by 22 Arab Muslim nations, most of whom hate Israel and want to see it destroyed?
Do people understand the history of “Palestine” and even the term “Palestinian”? In the early 1900s, there were Palestinian Jews and Palestinian Arabs. “Palestinian” is not inherently a word describing Arabs.
“From the river to the sea” means no more Israel. That is what nearly every Arab Muslim in Gaza and Judaea/Samaria want.

I hadn't thought much of it until Mike mentioned the flats that they have built in Poland and the "Garden City Movement" in the UK... I have seen the exact same thing happening in more than one smaller cities here in the U.S.... Madison, WI as an example... with huge stretches of major streets being converted to apartment complexes ("flats") where all of the conveniences are located on the ground floor with the living accommodations above.
I remember being bored to death in highschool history, learning about the Italian military being defeated mostly by the cutting off of their supply chain. I had an excellent history teacher in 1982, as its actually useful now. We can see, those with the eyes to, that the big squeeze is on. Control the supply chain of food, energy, capital, control the nation and the globe. Distract attention of we, the people with the spectacle of propoganda on multiple levels so that there can be no effective action at the public level. Seeing that the big picture 'fight' against the Russians, or anyone tagged as 'the other,' is the global scale tactical assault, and a piece of the puzzle. The local assault is the inflationary pressure intentionally brought to bear on the consumer, the family, the farmers (who are hurting to an outrageous degree and we better wake the hell up) the young adults that have lost hope and are addicts to dopamine on the phone, the web, the sugar, the drugs...Illegal immigration takes and absorbs a meaningful piece of the ire, while the narrative of racism is an effective demoralization of a naive but well meaning middle america...and dont think those millions of young healthy men wont be offered citizenship for the exchange of the war to come. This has an historical precedent, after all. I had thought this was a slow motion destruction. I was wrong. 2030 is likely the goalpost for wrapping up complete destruction and transformation. But I cant even wake up my baby boomer parents, so Ive pretty much given up discussing the big picture..good luck to everyone. I used to think growing food was a wise choice. Now I think prayer may be the only real hope..
Personally, I have a great deal of agreement and respect with the point that Monica raised wrt the organic results of an ideology vs the skewed results brought on by outside actions and influences, whether they be "sanctions" of otherwise.
