I had heard that Orwell was not a friend of liberty, but I must admit that I really liked Animal Farm. I didn’t finish 1984 due to the graphic nature toward the end, but the part I read seemed to (and from what I have heard others reference) have good warnings about things that are happening now. So now I am very interested to hear more about what was really behind the Orwell books and how they are not what many have thought they were.
I recently bought a book titled Falling Flat by Danny Faulkner. It is debunking flat earth. I am not an expert, but I know too much about astronomy to be able to believe in flat earth. The reason I got the book is because the topic comes up now and then, and I wanted to be able to have some answers - or good questions - for people who are going down that trail. I have literally piles of books I want to read and I haven’t gotten far in it, but maybe I’ll pick it up again now. I’m in the process of making a telescope with a local astronomy group that started 100 years ago. I’ll have to bring up the topic there just to see what kind of reaction I get. :)

I have talked with a chiropractor friend about this. Another possible cause for illness is that a detox mechanism is somehow triggered.

Also, scurvy was thought to be contagious because one after another would get it. It turned out it was just that the men’s bodies became critically low on vitamin C at different times. What seemed like contagion - infectious disease - was only a false appearance.

Phew… quite the conversation. I have several thoughts…
I had heard that Orwell was not a friend of liberty, but I must admit that I really liked Animal Farm. I didn’t finish 1984 due to the graphic nature toward the end, but the part I read seemed to (and from what I have heard others reference) have good warnings about things that are happening now. So now I am very interested to hear more about what was really behind the Orwell books and how they are not what many have thought they were.
I recently bought a book titled Falling Flat by Danny Faulkner. It is debunking flat earth. I am not an expert, but I know too much about astronomy to be able to believe in flat earth. The reason I got the book is because the topic comes up now and then, and I wanted to be able to have some answers - or good questions - for people who are going down that trail. I have literally piles of books I want to read and I haven’t gotten far in it, but maybe I’ll pick it up again now. I’m in the process of making a telescope with a local astronomy group that started 100 years ago. I’ll have to bring up the topic there just to see what kind of reaction I get. :)
Hrvoje, you will see Andrew Kaufman at anarcapulco (or however it is spelled). He is pretty new to questioning things and is diving into some territory I think is questionable (biblically-speaking), but when it comes to virology, I think he is on track and I hope you will listen to him. If contagion is true, then everyone who is “exposed” should get sick, not just a few. If contagion - exposure - to something causes illness, why doesn’t everyone get sick if one person does? Is everyone in your family sick at the same time?
I have talked with a chiropractor friend about this. Another possible cause for illness is that a detox mechanism is somehow triggered.
Have you heard about the attempt during the “Spanish flu” to make others sick? It couldn’t be done. The test subjects just would not get sick, no matter what they were exposed to.

“The researchers carefully extracted throat and nasal mucus and even lung material from cadavers and transferred it to the throats, respiratory tracts, and noses of volunteers. ‘We used some billions of these organisms, according to our estimated counts, on each one of the volunteers, but none of them took sick,’ he said.
Then they drew blood from those who were sick and injected it into ten volunteers. ‘None of these took sick in any way.’
Thoroughly perplexed, Roseau and the other researchers designed the next experiment ‘to imitate the natural way in which influenza spreads, at least the way in which we believe influenza spreads, and I have no doubt it does [even though his experiments showed that it doesn't] - by human contact. They instructed those afflicted to breathe and cough over volunteers. ‘The volunteer was led up to the bedside of the patient; he was introduced. He sat down alongside the bed of the patient. They shook hands, and by instructions, he got as close as he conveniently could, and they talked for five minutes. At the end of the five minutes, the patient breathed out as hard as he could, while the volunteer, muzzle to muzzle (in accordance with his instructions, about 2 inches between the two), received this expired breath, and at the same time was breathing in as the patient breathed out. This they repeated five times.’ The volunteers were watched carefully for seven days, but alas, ‘none of them took sick in any way.’ “
Also, scurvy was thought to be contagious because one after another would get it. It turned out it was just that the men’s bodies became critically low on vitamin C at different times. What seemed like contagion - infectious disease - was only a false appearance.
Other illnesses and childhood diseases have been shown to be linked to vitamin deficiencies as well. There is more to learn here.
As a Bible-believing person, and a believer in Yeshua, the Messiah, I think I differ from the guest toward the end. The Bible is a “Zionist” book in that God promises to come to Zion and to establish His kingdom with Jerusalem as the capital. The land currently called Israel, along with a whole lot more, will be given to the Jews to fulfill the covenant promise God made with Abraham, Yitzak (Isaac), and Ya’akov (Jacob) and their descendants. Then there will be peace. The nations will go up to Jerusalem to celebrate the festival of Sukkot (feast of tabernacles/booths).

I have spent practically no time trying to understand flat earth ideas thus far because the whole concept makes so little sense to me and … I have more pressing issues to pursue …. but I’ll add that it reminds me of the concept of “turtles all the way down.” So what is under the turtle? Another turtle. Well, what is under the second turtle? Another turtle. Well, what is under the third turtle? What is under that turtle? It’s turtles all the way down. (What is under the last turtle? Another turtle.).
I can think of no reasonable explanation for the changing day length (sun higher and lower in the sky throughout the year), changing seasons, opposite seasons in the northern and southern hemispheres, day and night cycle with time zones, eclipses, latitude and longitude, north-south, difference between true north and magnetic north, etc. in a flat earth system. It makes no sense to me. I don’t know how any truly flat-earthers could be pilots if they refuse to use the existing maps and headings, which are based on a spherical earth… and work. All of which makes me think some people are playing a huge joke on people gullible enough to fall for anything that goes contrary to the status quo.

Great show. In 2019 at Jackson Hole Mark Carney called for massive fiscal spending (they gave us Covid as the excuse) and also called for the removal of the US dollar as reserve currency and a global currency (and they gave us Ukraine) and BRICS expansion which is another step towards a world currency. There are no coincidences.
